Brake problem

I'm getting a LOUD GRINDING noise with HEAVY vibration when I step on the brake, it's coming from the rear right. And by heavy vibration, I literally mean the whole car jerks and the rear right seems to be sticking or locking. What I also noticed is the grinding noise emerges when I step on the brake but the brutal vibration doesn't occur until I'm almost at a stop, maybe at 5-10mph. When I'm cruising at low speed, I can hear something touching the rotor. I honestly don't have the time to go around the bush about this problem and just want to get it done right the first time. My suspicion is the rotor needs to be resurfaced and something is wrong with the pad. The car stops just fine. I have the cross drilled and slotted rotors from 88rotors and axxxis pads that came along with the package. What are your thoughts about this, G's?

-yes this is a copy and paste from Facebook lol-

What are the signs I should be looking for? pad n rotor have about 20k miles on them.
And unfortunately, I have to drive it, it's my only form of transportation.

^this. you should try and grab a ride from somebody else. brakes aren't something i would overlook and especially if it feels like its jerking the car.

How do I know if my pad is worn? I looked at it from outside through the wheel spokes and didn't see anything lol.

+1 - regardless of it being your only transportation - vibrations and heavy grinding is not something look over or wait on..

no - get the a$$ end of the car on jacks stands.. Take the wheels OFF...Hell even take the caliper off using a 14 socket.. Takes like 15 mins holmes.. then inspect...

none of this "I looked at my wheel while while I got in my car and I didnt see anything wrong with my brakes" crap...

I agree, could be your caliper is sticking as well and wore one of the pads out..could even be the inside which you won't be able to see through the wheel accurately.

OR

Just shake/rattle/roll over to Jake's and leave it on his front door until he can look at it...lol

I have only got a chance to look at it from the outside, I touched the outside and there aren't any gaps or roughness. This is driving me crazy! Very embarrassing too! Had a girl in my car yesterday and she was kind of nervous! fml!
