My Last Week As An Infiniti Owner
As the title says, this is it.... As most of you are aware, I have been looking at new cars over the past several months. I just worked out a deal on a new 2012 Audi S4. Ibis white, with nav, leather, sport differential, and the B&O sound system. The car is being shipped from Houston, so I won't have it until around Friday. I will be trading the G in to Audi of Dallas (just in case you know someone looking for a nice 6MT 2009 G37 sedan)....
I have mixed feelings. I am excited about the new car, but I have been a Nissan/Infiniti only guy for the past 12+ years, so it will be a big change (1997 Maxima, 2003 350Z, 2004 G35 sedan, and my current 2009 G37 sedan). This will also be my first non-manual car in some time. I went with the dual clutch tranny on the S4. Although I have not driven a S4 with one, I have driven some other VW cars with it, and it is pretty sweet. I guess I am getting old, and rowing my own gears just does not have the same appeal as it used to. Clicking off instant shifts with the paddles sounds good to me at this point.
Anyway, I will still be around. I plan to add a little variety to Team Strafe with the S4, so I am planning on doing as many shows and events as I can with those guys once I get a few mods done (shouldn't take long). I am sure I will make it to the occasional G meet too (not that I make many anyway....). All-in-all, this is a great community, and I don't think I can fully leave it behind. I can't imagine the local Audi scene is full of the kind of dedicated enthusiast we have here. You guys are hard to beat.

(tears)... I've seen and experienced every single one of those cars... scary to think we've known each other for 9 years (bought my maxima in 2002). It will be odd to not see you in a Nissan/Infinity, though you've been threatening it for years haha
Enjoy the S4!

It will be sad to see you go Josh. You had, in my opinion, one of the best looking sedans around. However...damn I love those S4's haha. I'm looking forward to seeing it out at some of the meets!
