Yeah, I want something I can incorporate into the existing system. If I truly had the funds then I'd go for the DIN conversion, blah blah blah...but since I'm a po' man in a rich mans car....I gotta do..what I gotta do....ha.haha..

It's around $300-$325 shipped. I'm waiting on PM back from 4080 to see if it'll be cheaper, since we'll pick it up and we might have several buyers at once.

It should be cheaper since we have a lot of people that want it. I got a pm from him for 300 shipped. Maybe if we get enough people, we can get it down to 275 or 250

Also, whoever doesn't want to commit w/o seeing it in person first, lemme know so I can schedule with him for a mini meet. I too haven't looked hard into it but now that I have a G I am very interested.

I just placed my order for one of 4080's single 10" sub enclosures. I'm going to be dropping in an MB Quart Reference series 2ohm DVC 10" sub, and running it in series (4ohm). Powering it will be a MB Quart Reference series amp, bridged into one channel which is 4ohm stable and cranks out 800watts. Its more than enough power for the sub, in fact twice as much, so the gains won't go past 50%, but it will allow me to upgrade to a more powerful sub in the future if I ever need too without having to shell out for a stronger amp.

I've heard his boxes first hand, and they sound sweet! I had an Infiniti Basslink for two years (loved it for its size and weight), but wanted a little more. I set the following up just a week ago, and although it sounds sweet, I hate it for its size and weight!

Two Kicker Comp 10's, running off a Kicker KX series 200watt amp. Nothing crazy, but enough for me. I can't wait to see how the single MB Quart is going to compare to the twin Kickers. I'll post up a review when I get everything in and setup, which should be by this weekend or early next week....

You can run a sub w/o changing the head unit. I think CYBRR is doing that. PM him

Yea totally! You don't need an aftermarket headunit to run a sub. It's nice to have one, but there's many ways you can tap into the OEM system to run a sub. I tapped into the OEM amp in the rear trunk, got a speaker line to RCA converter, conditioned the signal with an Audio Control EQS (optional but worth it if you can budget it), run some juice for power and there you go... Sub & amp ready!

+1 I run a full system off of the stock headunit's outputs via a converter before the bose amp. Just set your stock headunits outputs to 0 for bass and treble, then tune via passive crossover/eq. I am using focal utopia mids and highs and they sound great. Plus you don't lose the beloved steering wheels controls. One other note, please check with 4080 before you get the box to make sure the sub you are using will fit. My JL 10w6v2 barely fits and has to go in slightly angled. This sub has a very large magnet so most will fit if this one does. If you want to use something that can handle more power then go to an 8 inch sub like the JL 8w7. With the sub that I am using and the airspace I can drive it higher than it's rated 400wRMS. I am running it at ~900w RMS. Wish I was closer but Florida is a bit far to drive from, lol. Feel free to PM me with any questions.
