MotorSport Ranch Speedway (Cresson) Nov. 28th SIGN UP!!!
#46
I called today to sign up, but just got the answering machine. I hope to be hearing back from someone soon. I read somewhere that the deadline to sign up is 10/15, but I read somewhere else that you can sign up until 2 weeks before the day of the event. I'm hoping it's the latter, cause it's almost 5:00 and today's the 15th.
After reading the posts, above, it looks like I'm gonna need to change my pads out before the event because they're getting pretty thin. They were at 4 mm when I took the car in for the 30,000 mile service about a month ago. Also, I'm getting pretty close to needing new tires (I still have the original tires on the car) - is this something that I should seriously consider doing before going to the track? Or will I be okay, but will probably need new tires soon after the track day?

Gents,
Sorry for the confusion with the credit card payment. In the past we have only accepted check by mail. This is something new and it obviously not as polished as I would like it to be. We are trying to add a convince factor for our customers and it is not working on our end very well.
I think Randy put a camera in my shop and when Chris leaves to go pick up a new motor he tells you to call. J/K.
Again sorry for the poor response to phone calls on our end. We will fix it.
I promise you we run a safe and fun driving school.

Okay guys! You've been asking for it and I've got it set up. November 28th (Monday), we have the track for 8 or 9 hours! If you've never been able to open your car up in a safe environment, this is the place to experience what your car can do. Because the event is not timed, your insurance companies should cover it 100% because it's considered a defensive driving class. I'd check for sure, but I also wouldn't worry about it much. It's hard to lose your car on this track, but if you do, there are no walls to hit and only dirt to go off on. The track is a technical track which means it's not 100+mph like Texas Motor Speedway. You'll get up to about 80mph or so, but it has lots of turns, both up hill and down. I've raced this track and I had a blast.
The first part of the day is spent learning your car on the track by following an instructor. They also have you go through some cone exercises (slalom and braking). After we break for lunch the real fun begins. 4-5 open track sessions! In SoCal, I paid upward of $350-$375 for this type of event. It's only $150 for the whole day! G35's and 350z's welcome!
Here's a more detail overview of the days events:
BYOC
Bring your own car!
BYOC allows clubs and individuals to use their cars for driving school at the MotorSport Ranch. Apex grads get out earlier; new students get extra instruction to make the day a safe and educational experience.
