MD 5/16 spacer 1/4 mile results are in!!!!!
First, I would like to apologize for being such a horrible driver and representing Gs so poorly
(i am going to put half the blame on my tranny though which i have already scheduled an appointment with dealership to have replaced next week)
So once again this week like last week twice I could not get it into 2nd gear, which ofcourse makes me run low 15s which are thrown out due to the misshift.
The following are the UNCORRECTED numbers from week before without spacer and now with spacer:
Without spacer With spacer
RT .277 .077
60' 2.241 2.213
1/8 9.54 9.59
mph 74.14 74.14
1/4 14.71 14.72
mph 95.18 96.06
RT .080 .199
60' 2.251 2.367
1/8 9.695 9.83
mph 74.28 74.30
1/4 14.82 14.94
mph 96.16 96.78
RT .205 .109
60' 2.36 2.288
1/8 9.759 9.68
mph 74.24 73.90
1/4 14.90 14.83
mph 97.87 97.7
Now if you look strictly at uncorrected numbers you would basically say.....the spacer did nothing hardly due to avgs of:
14.81 @ 96.40 14.83 @ 96.85
The ets are almost identical and the trap is approx .5 mph better with spacer.
However the corrected numbers are much more telling....the temperature tonight was about the same 78-80, the humidty was about the same as last week too 65%, however the pressure was lower at only 29.82 where as last week it was 30.12...therefore applying the AD corrections the following avgs are produced:
14.55 @ 98.12 14.51 @ 98.95
Which basically means my ET improved by almost .05 and the trap increased by almost 1mph. The ET improvement is not nearly as important as the trap.
As you can see I still can not launch this thing...my 60's were still the same crappy 60' s.......I just dont see how with my tires that I can get out the gate faster without spinning so bad. And ofcourse by looking at my 1/8 miles where I am .4+ slower than I should be......you can tell what difficulties I am having with my tranny and shifting 1-2.
However if you look at my last 1/8 mph increase:
last week I avg'd 22.2mph this week with spacer i avg'd 22.74
That is before AD corrections...but im assuming after corrections I would be picking up on avg this week about 22.8-22.9 in the last 1/8
And last using 1/4 mile trap speed calculations last week my hp was 270...this week my hp was 278. Which accounts for the spacer.
Therefore my conclusions are that the spacer did add about 8hp. My trap increased 1mph, my et dropped almost .05.......Now if I could just learn to launch AND when my car comes back from dealer with a new tranny I should be able to go from my 14.5's corrected to 14.1's corrected
P.S. There was a charger R/T out running 14.8s....that should give you a good idea of the track condition for launching....and the temp hum and pressure robbing going on
