I wish I had a VQ35HR...

It seems to be a significant jump from the DE.

Also, I'd like to see the timeslip!

He definately must have had a perfect launch at ideal conditions.

I was expecting a 13.5-13.6 range considering that the G sedan runs 13.8-13.9, but that is awesome if he ran a 13.3!!!

Before i read this I was just talking with my dad to see if he was up for a engine swap...

anyone say HR?

Yeah I have seen a 13.4 as well with the 07 Z. Thats honestly what I was expecting. I remember reading on My350Z that a guy with the 07 Sedan was running 13.7's

Im sure G Sedans can do much better than what mag state.

Best I've seen a Mag do was 13.8 @ 103 mph.

But there was an owner here (search the thread) who did 13.7 with a bad 60ft.

Considering that the 07 Z does 13.3 (according to this thread), im sure the 07 Sedan can do 13.6-13.5 with a good launch. Remember, the 07 Sedan has more aggresive gear ratios (final drive)

Here's the video:

I'm a skeptic: If he has no proof, then I won't believe it. Not saying its impossible, I just need to see proof.

That guy with the sedan never posted slips. I think it's totally feasible for the 2nd gens to pull those kinds of times under ideal conditions, but that particular guy didn't post much of anything to support his claims.

As for the 2nd gen gear ratios, the difference isn't going to do much because the tires are about .7" taller (takes away from gearing), the VQ35HR is a bit soft on initial power, and most importantly, the car gained about 120lbs therefore it needs the additional torque multiplication to get off the line effectively.

Those 60ft times are awesome and his trap speed is excellent.

The 60ft times are what is putting him in the 13.3 range.
