okay..because to me..that doesn't sound normal..and the mechanics just said it's okay, which I usually just take as BS.

If yours has the same thing then I guess that's how it is.

Yeah... lots of threads on the various bimmer boards.
The chattering is generated because it's a hydraulicly actuated system and is constantly variable.
Most other systems are electro mechanical & move in steps.

BTW...
I heard of a guy launching @ 4500 in 2nd and got a 4.2 0-60

pretty ridiculous...can't imagine his clutch staying alive.
