my G is out of commision now..so only slips from the M.
R/T 1.114 (iqnore bc it's only test and tune)
60' 2.063
330 5.756
1/8 8.776
MPH 82.37
1000 11.312
1/4 13.457
MPH 103.78
Temp: 68F
need a new thermostat, car is losing hp, my trap is way too low.

Very nice. I was just comparing the numbers (with a grain of salt) to that of the 2007 G35x someone brought to the track (in the sedan section). Same 60' time. 1/8 mile - G35x was just under 8.9 seconds at 78 compared to your 8.7 at 82. But the M must have long legs because while the G35x finished at 13.9, the M is a 1/2 second faster and 4 mph faster.

here's a slip from drag times.
http://www.dragtimes.com/BMW-Z4-M-Ro...lip-12116.html
my time is not where I want it to be...it should be at 13.2 @ 107mph
my trap of 103 is lower than my highest trap I had last summer of 105, I lost some hp due to a faulty thermostat...I will need to get it changed out then run again at the track.
Basically the M has more aggressive gears and 'maybe' weight slight less.
Also at 330hp it's higher than the G, though with a significantly lower torque.

I do realize that 13.2 is by a pro driver..probably powershifting(though not likely because R&T are against such practice) But I've achieved 13.37 last summer with much heavier tires (2lbs per wheel) and a 60' not as good as this season. With the right conditions (my service engine soon light not on and a new thermostat.) Im hoping to at least match my last summer stats and get at least 105 trap.

I wish car magazines would start showing 60' and 1/8th mile times and speeds. It gives a good picture of where the car's strengths are as opposed to just the 1/4 mile time and speed. FOr instance, this M ran a 13.2, but was the time that low because the driver ticked off a 1.8 sec 60' time? Or was it a 2.3 sec 60' time, but the car had brutal acceleration afterwards? Some of that you can tell from the trap speed but more info the better.

Otherwise a great all around tire.
I also found them to be very sensitive to pressure changes.
...great post BTW;
especially since mine won't find it's way to the strip.
I had a blast with it at Mosport though
