I was blowing off these tires that had some bad wear for a new set im putting on tomorrow. The car runs low 12's on the 55 jet and dot et tires but I never cared to keep the slips till I started talking with a few G owners about trying to set a stock block record. It's an 11 sec capable setup (i know a z that runs 1135 on a 150 hit) but I need a better tq converter to get off the line.
Sad thing is it is still one of the faster 1/4 times for our platform set with a car full of slicks wheels, camera/vid gear (im a photographer so tons of gear/pods), tool box (about 100lbs), 2 extra gals of methanol, 2 extra n2o bottles full, spare arms and my extra diff, and extra gear... I was on my way home after the second run so I just did it with the crap in the car (i wasn't going to run at all but I paid and drove a long way so I made it worth my time).

You also can't see it but I'm using my right hand to shut off the extra stage... I was having issues with my progressive controller as well. It actually crapped out on me this week and I think it was just giving 100% duty cycle as well as the cause of my stuck open second stage and methanol dumping.

yeah it's just sad that I've run a 12.9 on a dry 50 shot way back when i first had the car and prob barely broke 300whp (if that it was before a lot of mods) and now on my 450/500tq setup I can't really use street tires and enjoy it at the track (altough before i was on some dot drag rads). I've been trying to plan another track day but keep running into issues... this week I broke a tie rod and had to call off yesterdays plans to run.

I will be out soon enough tho. I want a legit time on this setup with slicks before I do the alu driveshaft. I am also about to swap to a supercharger and built block but wanted to break 12's before that (on paper i should be able to but I also haven't drag raced since 06-07 or something like that... and it was never my sport)...

As for Mr. Nurse always a hater never a anything good to say never anything good to contribute. Good luck and enjoy stance... Some of us like to do more than that.
Sorry my post count isnt as high as yours is...

We have the same goal in mind before going SC. I want to be the 1st 5AT in the 12's NA and 11's on N2O.

The fastest non-built time to beat is 12.8 on radials or slicks fastest street tire time is 13.13 which I'm close with a 13.14 on street tires.

The only thing I remove is my spare, sub and tools compared to the 350z guys who remove their passenger seat in a already lighter car than the G.

I should reach both goals soon installing another trans with a edge racing 3k high stall next weekend. My trans is slipping bad after 167k miles of abuse maybe my slipping trans was slowing me down all along. I went 13.14 with 256hp now I have 307hp and have not went faster than 13.15 with my new hp a few weeks ago.

I will be SC this time next yr.

Yeah, I should of bought it back a guy in the valley has the kit on his car now. VRT gave me a very bad experience along with others going turbo with a built motor.

VRT and GTM were the only shops doing turbo installs back then in socal.

I just don't want the headaches again, I do miss the feeling of boost though.
