Track: 1/4 this time

Well, just got back from a nice day at the 1/4 mile track at beech bend in bowling green kentucky. It was rented out for the day by www.tennesspeed.net. it's an online forum for mainly middle tennessee people with various interests in cars and racing. Had a good turnout of 200 or so people. fastest of the day was a 1200 hp turboed big block foxbody mustang that was just inside the 6's. slowest was 43 seconds an ams evo MR that blew out the clutch and had to baby it to the finish. lol

My best:
reaction-.163
60ft----2.199
1/8mi---9.169
1/8mi---79.7
1/4mi---14.095
1/4mi---101.94

ran 8 times and had 2-14.0's and 6-14.1's. also had 2-100mph runs and 6-101 mph runs.

there was an 07 g35sport 6mt there, i think his best was when we lined up together .
on my slip it says he had a 2.1 60ft....9.1@78 1/8....14.12@99 1/4. not bad. we were discussing his times(high 90's mph and mid 14's times). Its difficult to launch the 6mt without wheel hop and he was doing the best he could. also, he drives the car like a grandma everywhere, so we agreed that the ecm has things running a lil slower due to the driving style. Either way, i and almost everyone else was supprised by the G. It was doing really well.

i was trying for better 60fts, but on these tires and the negative camber of being lowered, it was about as good as i could get.

i tried to launch it higher but it was getting some spin/hop and dropped my 60's to 2.3's

Good times.

You were so close to getting 13's if only you had cut that 60ft down or shifted faster.

Good trap speed too; almost 102 stock is very good.

it was 90 degrees with a slight headwind. cant shift any faster, its a 5at with the paddles. i tried my best to cut the 60ft down. but its not getting any lower without some stickier tires.

Excellent times. If you post a timeslip, I'll put your time in the top 25.

My best time when I was NA was 14.0 @ 100 with Crawford plenum, Y-pipe, 14 lb flywheel, crank pulley, and Z-tube/popcharger and 18lb BBS wheels. Get that camber correct and 13's are in your future. -1.5 in the rear was a happy medium between drag strip and street driving for me.

Haha, and this is coming from a guy who ran high 13s with his STOCK '03g. Love it!

I'm sure track conditions vary tho, but still...
