i just checkout that the non awd g35 sedans weigh from 3400 lbs to 3500.awd that i have weighs 3740 lbs(i know this because i weighed it at my job that has a scale for garbage trucks).on youtube i saw a g35x video and people commented about the launching and governor of the g35x. infiniti made it to be a safe vehicle.thats why throttle is really slow .thats what they said on youtube.

as for the psi i always have and make sure they r at the recommended psi of 30 psi.i always keep it that way.

i guess ill follow what they said on youtube. just turbo it and thats it.

awd and auto i cant to a burnout

it sounds like you are probably leaving late or not brake torquing to 2000-3000 rpm before you leave. Or maybe your tripping the rev limiter once or twice down the track. Do you go on green or yellow? Essentially you should be sitting at the line with your left foot on the brake and right foot giving it some gas to bump up the RPM's, then the second you see a yellow light you are thumping on the gas and lifting the brake, your reaction time should be within a few hundred seconds and you'll break into the 14's with ease. About 5-10% of the time you might red light, but if you wait until you see green you'll be a second behind the pace. You've got an 06 like mine, I leave it in drive for the 1-2 shift (i tend to bounce of the rev limiter between 1st and second at WOT all the time), then flip it over to manual for the 2-3, stay in it deep and you should trip the rev limiter in 3rd about 50 ft over the finish line.

(OMG) don't rev and dump the tranny ! There are cheaper ways of getting their than buying a new trans.

AWDs are inherently heavier, so that's going against you.
5AT

breathing mods are a must (exhaust, cats... consider headers)
You have to flow from front to rear.

Through dynos, I have discovered that my power-making peak is around 6500 rpm, so that's my shift point, even though my rev limiter was raised to 7100. Discover yours, but that is hard since there are not many AWD dynos around.

Here are some suggestions that won't cost you much:
*Run on a cold night with less than a 1/4 tank of gas.
*Pull the spare.
*Pull the jack.
*Pull your spare change under the seats (save for next mod)
*Reset your ECU
*Run without the plenum cover, and put a bag of dry ice on it between runs.

When launching, I don't "power brake", but do bring my revs up to 1200-1500 rpms.. VDC off. I also run my heater on high while coming to the line and staging.

Good luck.

Unfortunately,

You are not that far off from what the stock X performance.
The X is 300lb more weight.

I have 05x, same car as 06x.
My best time before FI was 14.8

This is with:

17" 17lb light Forged wheels (Roja Formular 7)
Z tube
Spare off, jack off, all mats off.
VDC off
1/4 tank of gas
AC off.
60 degrees
ME 0.5" spacer
launch at 1500 -2500 rpm
Manual shift near red line

Nothing I did with bolt-ons really helped much, if anything at all.
FI was my only way to move this pig, I got 13.2 with HKS S/C, now my pig flies

That's 1/2 inch Plenum Spacer by Motordyne Enginering.
Dealer usually won't do it, this is a rare case. The install was ~$2000.

Maybe there is something wrong with ur car...a 15.2 is maxima territory
That's even slow for Maximas. My 2k2 Auto Maxima with just CAI and Y pipe ran mid 14's and I'm a pretty large guy.

i have an 06 G35 sedan 5at and i went to infineon and ran a 14.7 with no mods at all unless the 20% tint unleashes some horsies.... i got some pretty good launches in and could probably do better if i had more runs ....it sounds to me like you dont know how to launch well....i practice some times all i do is sit on my street turn off my VDC and hold down the brake and hit the gas until i feel the wheels braking away from the street i memorized what rpm that is at and ive gotten a good hang of letting go of the brake at the right time...good luck

I go to dealer fir bigger services. 15k, 30k etc. I don't think anti- freeze affect performance, haven't changed mine for 2 yrs. It's time though.

Someone earlier said your reaction time is related to your 1/4 time. This is not true as your time starts when you leave the starting line. I agree, maybe its the high temp weather.
