Dude. 580 and you didn't break 10s on DRs? Did you have any suspension work done or was it stock? C5? C6?

Nice avatar btw. Any full size pics?

it was an 01 C5 and stock suspension....well it was lowered....

car would have easily hit 10's with slicks or a better DR...o well...

I'm going to have a full interior 10 second car.. It's just a matter of spending enough money.
Good luck then . Am I 100% satisfied with my 12.2? Not really...but the difference from a 12.2 to 11.5 or faster is at least $10k. That's not worth it in my opinion...but I'd love to see your car run 10s.

Built engine, transmission swap, different suspension, wheel/tire setup, roll cage....that's a LOT of cash!

Ryan is right. The difference from 12.00 to 10.99 is gonna be more than $10k easily. Can it be done? Of course. But when you see ridiculously built Z's that are lighter (2 seaters) that have spent tens of thousands of dollars and have yet to break into tens, you have to realize that it's gonna be even harder for a G. Hey, good luck Jtrain. I hope you do it. All I am doing is making you realize what you are in for. A water/meth kit, tranny upgrades and slicks is not gonna do it.

Bump

We're knocking on the door of 10.99:

https://g35driver.com/forums/questionable-posts/218126-intensepower-has-fastest-g35.html

11.00@127, 1.58 60ft, 21psi ~600whp, Full weight, no nitrous

The 60ft can be improved upon w/ the 28" tire we're putting out back, which easily puts the car in the mid-high 10s. We're planning on turning up the wick on Friday, going all in w/ the GT37r, that has about 120 more hp in it. This set up should put is right at 10.00, and maybe a 9.9x. Our Supra w/ the same power, weighing 300lbs more when 10.0s, so we shall see!

Well- I've got the meth kit- I'm going to build my motor sometime this year. Probably right before the end of summer or just after. I'll jack up the boost to 15psi or so on the built motor- hopefully get around 450 wheel on a mustang.

I figure that will put me well for an 11.4-11.6. 10's are going to be mad hard. But I'm not planning on selling / trading this car in for a very long time.

At the same time I am debating the rollcage / 5 point seat harness problem.
I REALLY dont want to do that. I hope they lower the time for that when the zr-1's come out . I'd love to see a 10.999 ET for roll cages =D.

I'd compromise with just a 5 point seatbelt :/

We'll see what happens- I'm having a blast with this car- that's all that really matters.
