I'm new here and have a Question

I was wondering if it was possible to get a 2006 G35 coupe to break 14.0 in the quarter without major mods. So far My friend only has a Stillen intake, but is looking to upgrade her exhaust with a full Stillen header back. Can She run Drag radials? Can she get to a 13.9? All of the resident Honda people in our club say there is no way shes breaking 14.0. I need advice on how to prove them wrong.

Start by removing all the stuff in the trunk.

It's possible, but you'll need every N/A mod in existence and a tune. The only mod you prob won't need are cams, but everything else you will need to break 13s. I've only seen a few people on here do it, but I forget who they are.

You dont need every possible NA modifications & a tune if you're in one of the few great tracks in the U.S. Some east coast guys can get in the 13's with very few modifications, no tune, and just great driving (on an ideal track with ideal conditions).

Realistically though, I wouldn't aim that high, seeing how most tracks, atleast for us SoCal enthusiasts, have crappy tracks.

I hit 13.9@101 on a 2.2 60ft with test pipes, cat-back, and an intake.

I plan on taking the car back soon now that I've added a 1/2 ISO Thermal spacer and MREV2. I'll post up times when I can make it back to the track.

There was a member on here with a bone stock '05 coupe who ran a 14.00X @101+

So it's definitely possible.

Yeah, breaking 14s are pain in the azz. lol

I did 14.1 with my cat back, hfc, and 20s on.

But again, mine is a 07 sedan.

she is getting a full Stillen exhaust and will be getting it tuned, but can she used drag radials without breaking something? Our local track is Atco raceway or Etown.

It CAN be done. You can ask the people listed here *how* they did it if you want specific information.

Generally, yes. You have to learn your specific car as to when exactly is the best place to shift, etc. It is generally much more consistent for the average person.

And why are you on here and not the girlfriend? We are an equal opportunity site
