maybe the slow track has a slight incline? LACR was like that... also Fontana moved its track a few years ago and now it runs against headwinds...

yep - there are lots of variables.

I took my stock 2004 AT coupe to the drags and my highest was abot a 15.2. seemed awful slow to me, should I try using the sport shifter?
