I lost bad

Man I'm pissed off with this car. I raced a 2008 Mustang on 1/8 of a mile drag track and I got my *** handed to me. I dint know a stock mustang with some upgrades could beat me by 6 cars. I think he had intake, tune and gears

It sounds like you thought you could take them. They'd have to be a bad driver for them to lose. An '08 Mustang GT should be able to run mid to low 13s stock, possibly even high 12s with a driver that's got the launching and shifting down. What upgrades are on the G35 and Mustang GT?

Let's see... Same weight, and a 1.2L, 2cyl engine advantage. What did you expect?

1/8 is all about launch and the g35 with a sports suspension setup is not gonna do good. 60' times for the G/Z are terrible no matter how much hp u got. Don't be too mad. A GT with gears, much more tq down low, and a suspension that actually squats is gonna be hard to beat. I would almost guarantee he'll beat u in the 1/8 even if you had a supercharger/tt/nos setup.

Runt those times stock? No way...

I've driven an 08 Mustang GT for more than 300 miles and I know all its flaws and where it shines.

Stock for stock, its not much faster than a G35 6MT (I would know ). But once you modify them, they become beasts down the drag strip.

An S197 with gears + bolt ons + tune = mid 12's all day long.

A Mustang GT with gears, an intake, and a tune is stock?

You won't have a chance down the 1/8th mile against an S197 with those mods you stated. Like people have already mentioned, their suspension is ideal for the drag strip. And they have no problems hooking up. I can launch my brothers Mustang GT all day long with consistency. It just hooks... not to mention, those mods just revived their dutuned V8.

I don't get why people race 1/8 miles. All you have to do is get an AWD Turbo car and you are fast. OP The G is a great car. But cmon it's not a Super car.

It should be closer in the 1/4 than the 1/8th. Also a G with gearing and stuff would probably beat the stang. Not sure though.
