How to get better 60' times?

Anyone got some advice for auto dragsters?

The best 60' i've ever had was a 2.23x and that was finally after getting my gears.

I know my 285 tires are a big help too...

If I do an 1800 RPM launch i get no wheel spin but a slow launch.. I still manage 2.2 60'

If I do a 2200RPM launch get some wheel spin but a faster launch.. i sill end up getting same times and the same 2.2 60' times.

Anyone have some of their own tricks?

my best 60' is a 2.149 on crappy oem 235/45/18 turanzas. I am fully stock. Nothing special really, I just had it in manual mode, VDC switched off, brake torqued to about 2000 RPMs, no burnout (useless on street tires). Track prep is HUGE, weather conditions, elevation, etc. I would think the higher FD would help improve the launch depending if you hook up, which shouldnt be a problem with 285s. What mods do you have besides the gears?

heat the tires up by doing a prespin. THis will give a better coef. of friction with the strip. Buy a pair of slicks for the back.
