1/4 mile calculators

Has anyones 1/4 time actually been near what these estimate calculators claim your time should be? I say my car weights roughly about 3400lbs with me and I have about 350hp at the wheels. According to these calculators, I should be running a 12.5 at 109mph. I only got a chance to run the 1/4 mile only twice, and my best time out of those 2 runs was 13.3 @ 104mph. Just want some opinions on this.

Have you physically weighed your car at all? My '05 coupe weighs 3500 on the nose with a full tank (without me in it) and I think it was just over 3400 with around 1/8 tank (same as when I go to the track).

1/4 mile calculators aren't all that accurate. You need to know more than just power to weight in order to make a better estimate of its expected 1/4 mile E.T/Trap. (ie. gearing, powerband, potential traction off the line, etc)

Your trap is pretty low for someone who has 350whp... what was the condition when you raced? Do you have full interior? My car weighed 3660lbs with me in it and with almost empty tank of gas, no spare, no jack, no CAT, No muffler. You have a TT so that should be added weight too. Also did you shift close to redline? Shifting 6000rpm vs 6600rpm especially on the lower gears will affect your trap. I have 370whp and trapped 111mph with my heavy 19's.. I trapped 106.48 when shifting at 6000rpm last month with 28.71 barometer and 80F. When I shifted around 6600rpm I picked up about 5mph on my trap....

My car is about 3540lbs with me in it. I added twins yes, but I also got rid of the cats. Everything is in the car and I ran the track with little over a gallon of gas left. The track I ran at was in Orlando, FL im march/april, I dont remember the conditions that day but it was your usual florida weather. My car is a AUTO, so I just let it shift by it self. I only ran the track twice so, I dont have good data to go on if my car would be quicker if I used the triptronic function. Im also running on stock 17's and crappy tires. Ill need a retune and drag radials when I get back. Also I have stock exhaust, looking to get a 3".

You've also got to remember to calculate your density altitude. A must when at the drag strip!

Weather conditions as well as traction, reaction time and 60' times are all factors that could affect the 1/4 times you produce.
