Well track is about to open up this weekend and next weekend is when i plan to go.

Buddy of mines have been jawwing me a lot about how fast his audi is. Playing around on the highway and stuff i dont think he is that much faster then me but he never lets off and i always cut off like at 80 or so.

We both lining up to see who is faster, he wants to put some money on the line.

he has like a 05-06 2.0T 6 speed with navi and sports package. pretty much loaded like a pig.

I have a g35x 2005 stock with navi loaded like a pig as well.

stock for stock i think i should be able to edge him out. most magazines put me at 14.7 and his at 15.0 factor in things here and there and it should be a overall close race and me inching away.

Now my main concern is that he really wants to race, and i dont think he is that great of a driver to launch a AWD car out of the hole that great. But something tells me he is chipped. a chipped 2.0T goes from like 200hp/200tq to something like 260hp/250tq. i dont know if its AWHP or what. With that said if he is chipped i should get completely smashed right? Anyone have times of stage 1 chipped 2.0T?

I'm trying to see if there is a remote chance of me beating him if he is chipped. We might put money on the first run and that is it. So this way he doesn't have a chance to learn to launch and get used to it. I figure my car is the more consistent car and his will be completely varible, stalling, bogging, mis-shift. I'm an auto so just mash the pedal . I'm only going for a baseline before i had spacers and exhaust.

 

i know id smoke a "chipped" a4 in my coupe...

I have an 06 Audi A4 2.0T with apr chip set on 93 octane tune the best I've run with a perfect launch 1.8 60ft is 14.3 @ 97 but my consistent number was 14.5-14.6 so you should be neck and neck even if he is chipped if you were six speed you would definately smoke him but since your auto it should definately be a good race GOOD LUCK! and keep us posted
