Launch Advice Needed - 2nd Gear Spinning

I've been practicing my launch, and can get out pretty good from stop in 1st gear, however, when I shift into 2nd, i always overspin the wheels and can't seem to get good control.

Any tips or advice on how to improve 1st to 2nd gear transition and get better bite (looking for driving tips, not equipment tips)

I'm running a 2004 Sedan 6MT with Vortech SC (10psi)

Thanks
Dan

The reason you can't catch traction in 2nd is obviously because you have the vortech. But there are ways to reduce that wheel spin. The less expensive route is gonna be good tires. Another way is to buy an aftermarket LSD but those can get pricey. Also if you have a good clutch try slipping it a little in between shifts.

LSD won't help with traction at that power level on street tries. The more aggressive the clutch.....the more wheel spin also.

Big drag radials will solve your problem.

Try and slip the clutch a little bit between the shifts.
That's the only non-equipment related way that I can think of. But that's tough on your clutch.
