no I have it on my tune, but I haven't tried it yet. I need to practice with it I don't want to embarass myself at the track.

I will have DRs my next time out hopefully in March (depending on the weather).

I might have my nitrous kit installed or maybe a HKS supercharger since it is cheaper now.

Nice, I started playing with my 2 step alittle but the weather turned to crap and never got to the track

I only have a ztube, 5/16th spacer and testpipes but still hope to pull a high 13. Next I plan to get a y-pipe, 06 airbox or jwt popcharger and stock diameter light weight pulley and shoot for around 13.7s

Finally install my nitrius kit from my maxima and shot for 12s on a 75shot with dr's

Btw who did your VB job, I found a local tranny shop that works on muscle cars but they never did it on a import or G35 for that matter and would rather go to a shop that has done it before

a muscle shop also they never did a G35 either. I showed him the instructions and asked if he could do it he said no problem.

Print out the instructions from GTM and show them because removal and install instructions are not on the transgo website.

yeah I was had a blown built engine. Was going to sell the car (for a G8GT) decided to keep it and go NA for now. I miss the feeling of boost.

I've learned my lesson that FI (especially turbo) is very expensive if not done right.

How are things with you? I remember the tuesday meets yrs ago in SD at kmart always 10 or more.

Do you still have your G?

You can do it. I did 13.8-13.9@104-105 on crappy tires with only a spacer, TP's and exhaust.

Videos in my sig.

Have you backed up that 105 anywhere other than Sac Speedway? Just curious. What was your 1/8mph?

since I have a auto I put myself about 1-2tenths slower. stock tranny shifts slow to compared to a stick with a nice clutch or without a shift kit

Mike,

I think Sac is the best track in cali. I used to live there and cali speedway only runs a couple times a yr which you have to show up at 6am to race.

Qualcomm you are running in parking lot 1/8 mile. The only closest track he can try is Famoso in Bakersfield.

Jairen irwindale runs every thursday night 1/8 mile only though and their track prep is pretty good younjust have to deal with the traffic getting there.

What kills cali is DA before i moved there yrs ago. I ran a couple of times in gulfport MS and ran a 14.2@100 with intake exhaust and TS tune.

I didn't know how to drag race @ the time or how to use MM properly I used D.

I move to socal add more mods which added 10-20 more hp and tq and can barely break 15's @ the now closed LACR.

The best I ever ran at cali speedway was a 14.4 N/A and 13.02 turbocharged.

If you look at the top 25 list for all the cats most of the cars are on the east coast due to the better DAs, track prep and TRACK TIME.

The cars on the east coast have the chance for more seat time due to most the tracks being open every week when in season.

If you have a bad day you can just come back next week and try again in cali you have to wait months to try again.

Nonetheless good job Jairen all I can say is make sure your ready to drag race (car prepped) when ever you go again since your track time is limited.

I know if I was to come back to cali without changing anything my car would be a mid-high 13sec car maybe low 14.

My car has run on both coasts if I was still FI I would be low 12's or high 11's for sure.

Sacramento Raceway is the only place I've ran the 1/4. My 1/8 mph is around 80 mph. DA's that day were around -300.

Dsskyline is right. The track selection in California is limited. I was in NorCal on vacation which is 500 miles away so I took advantage of taking a shot a Sacramento Raceway. I used to race there a lot in the 90's. Best track in California.

Dsskyline, I usually run at Qualcomm. It's a 2 minute drive. Irwindale is just too far since I work during the week. Cali speedway is rarely open and is often packed. Not worth the long drive for 3 runs. The reason why you ran slow at LACR is because of the high altitude. Barona Casino also has an 1/8 mile track.

What surprises me is that there are a lot of Norcal people. Sac is open for test and tune almost every Saturday year round yet, no Z or G's go there probably due to the high price for test and tune day. Test and tune day at Sacramento Raceway is one of the best. They have the most lenient tech inspections I have ever seen and there is usually no more that 25 cars there and free of the usual grudge night ricers. You could literally do 50-75 plus runs if you wanted to.

DA of -300 is pretty stellar even for MD....we just got a bit lucky late this year. I in no way meant to say it as a detractor, but I was just curious because the 1/8mph I have seen from there don't really correspond to the 1/4mph. Generally speaking an NA Z/G picks up 20-23mph in the second 1/8th. The 25-26mph that some are posting is pretty wild. None the less.....impressive speed. Just a little OT....my 107.4 1/8mph was 85mph.

To be honest, I was pretty surprised myself. I was expecting to trap around 102. I was stoked when my time slips were above the 102 mark.

I don't know if it helped, but the was absolutely no head wind that day. Not a puff of air blowing that I can remember.

Here's the in cabin video if you guys haven't seen it.

I've been to Barona a couple of times they love domestics up there though nice canyon getting there.

I know about LACR I think the DA's when I ran there was over 3k. I think the most runs I ever got at calispeedway was 4-5 getting up at 330am to be there by 6am before the 400 car cut-off.

How much to run at SAC's test n tune?
