6.95 second Nova

guys, here's a really sweet car but I want some info (just outta curiosity) about the transmission in a drag racer like this... how's it work? do they have to use the clutch when they shift or just pull the levers back?

Looks like a Lenco trans. Google it.

I love that car, 66/67 Nova is one of my favourite models.

Meh...I've seen faster...but I was dreaming then.

Buddy had a nice Nova back in VA...turned out 8 second 1/4's and was street driven...and he just poo'd a little when he saw it click a 6.95...so yea ...guess that's fast enough

Also, no clutch is needed when in full song, you would only really use it for staging/stree driving, check out the Jerico Transmission

Dang fast *** nova I wonder how the guys in japan or here in the states do it with their tranni when they clock in 6.0 to 5.7secs on their GTR R34's and Supras? Gotta love old and older cars.. specially that Nova =)
