I beat GT3RS this morning!

Never mind that the Porsche was actually parked because a win is a win I guess.

Man my car is fast, and I'm a damn good driver!

Next challenge: Bugatti Veyron!

Awww give the guy some slack. He's excited. He said the guy missed a gear. Not like he said he won and omitted the fact that he missed 2nd.

If I had a foot race with Michael Johnson and I won, I would care that he tripped over his shoe laces because I just so happen to win. It's a story to tell.

A 9.7 in the 1/8 mile roughly converts to a 15.0 in the 1/4 mile. That's hardly anything to be excited about. A stock 5AT 1st gen G should easily be able to get 9.3s in sub 80 degree air. As you've figured, the SS needs a driver mod because a 10.0 equates to about a 15.5. The new Camaro SS is a low 13 second car. It should be doing closer to 8.6s in decent air.

I'm 22, and I paid for my G myself. Handled the sale of my last two cars. I don't pay for my insurance, but pay for gas and maintenance. My mother helped me buy my first car and I have never let her pay for any of my modifications (which have been plentiful in the past). I don't rev over 3.5k, and am courteous when driving around. Which means no cutting people off, no douchebaggery on the road. I drive safe and responsible. I don't roll down my windows and bump my music or stunt at the mall.

There are younger G drivers with some self respect, and respect for the luxury aspect of the car. I realize that 280hp is not fast. I realize 230 whp definitely is not fast. I like my car and feel blessed that I can afford it at my age. I've had a 01 IS300, 01 GS300, 03 G35 Sedan and now my coupe. I can't see myself trading this car in for anything besides a 07 G35 sedan, MKIV Supra, or MAYBE an IS350.

I hope this gives you older G drivers an idea that there are younger responsible drivers out there with respect and appreciation for our amazing cars.

I'm 37, married, two kids, and paid for my G myself and pay for everything else in my life (shocking I know). I take my G up redline at least once a day and most every entrance ramp is my own personal drag strip and every clover leaf, my road course. I fight the urge to weave through construction cones and use road boundary lines as my apex points. My car has been to the drag strip quite a few times and autoxed not near as much as I'd like.

BTW, it is ENTIRELY fine to put distilled water in your radiator overflow tank. Your coolant mix is usually 50% coolant and 50% water and that water does evaporate over time. Just saying.

Silly posts get silly answers. BTW, you're 22 and you should be paying for your own insurance. If you've got money for car parts, you've got money to pay the insurance. Man up and get off the teet.

You two really have to realize that the hate or "flaming" you two are receiving is to be expected, if not warranted. At one point in time both of you have knowingly or unknowingly admitted to acting immature, and use your age as an excuse. There is no age where immaturity is or should be condoned or acceptable.

well im 22, and i make very good money and have paid for my last 5 cars myself, never had a wreck or anything, plus i pay my own full coverage insurance on my G and my motorcycle. i dont cut people off or drive like an idiot, ive had 3 speeding tickets since I have been driving, but thats cuz i was on my way to work and on that road the speed limit should be higher, plus georgia state patrols are douche bags.. sometimes when an idiot in a honda civic with a ricer exhaust on it gets next to me and wants to race, i will for a minute and thats it...still i dont act stupid on the road... my age has nothing to do with it. but i still beat that camaro. and a z71 truck. no matter how i did it, i won.. if he missed a gear oh well his fault, my ticket says 1st on it. k thx.
