how bad was the kill on the s2000?

 

I killed him off the line. We went at it twice and the second time was the worst. I imediately put a car length on him in first gear . Then in 2nd and 3rd I just slowly kept creeping away. The first run-I jumped ahead by 1/2 car off the line imediately and kept creeping away thru 2nd and 3rd gear. He reved somewhat off the line but he didn't launch from 6K judging by the sound. It sounded more like 3K. I don't know what he did on the 2nd run... just floored it in MM mode.

At the light he gave me props stating that he didn't know these cars were that fast. I told him that I didn't think that I would beat him and that I was just as surprised as he was. I didn't power-brake or anything on either run.

I had a run against another s2K once who challenged me from behind at a stop light. I of course had the jump on him being the lead car so I stayed ahead of him.

 

I tried to get a crossfire to race a couple weeks back, but he wouldn't run with me. We don't have to many average cars up here. Only very slow ones and VERY fast (10 sec) street machines. So I pretty much can wither kill or get killed by everything in my area. I have been waiting to run an older Mustang GT or this 330Ci in town, but there just isn't alot to run up here.

 

I have no wins under my belt, but I've been killed three times. I don't street race.

Those are the only races I've had in my car.

 

A hemi magnum/300c/charger will either beat or tie a G35 6MT, unless it is an AWD, then it might smoke you off the line, but then the G would pull on it. An 05 mustang GT will take any non-FI G35 with few exceptions. They run mid-13's stock.

 

Maybe my track is really slow, but I've watched two stock 5MT 05 GTs go 13.9-14.0@99-100mph. They 60 foot really well though. These guys were getting mid to low 1.9s pretty consistently. The trap speeds were a bit disappointing though. Mod wise, the 05 GT is shaping up to be the new LS1.

 

Lightnings can run 13's stock. I love SVTs.
