Thumbs up My 1/4 mile times from Raceway Park Nissan/Inf Event

At the event it was kind of dissapointing to pick up my time slips and see some of the #'s but realizing that my competition was suffering from the same heat and humidity helped me realize my car runs quite well even if Ed C owns me now!

I ran 5 times, all runs ranged trap speeds of 95.46-95.87...very consistent for 5 runs with quickly rising temps of 79-84 and falling humidity 29.51-29.47.

My best run was against a 350 I ran twice and beat twice by .7 and .5 seconds. I feel better about the day in which I ran another NA Z that did a 1.75 60' with slicks and 11.9 at 115.

#'s below are me vs a what appeared to be stock Z - not sure of the tranny but seemed to be AT. You can see that he beat me out of the gate with a better R/T. At the end of the run I reeled him in. We were side by side for a second I just pulled on him very hard.

ME Car 202 ----- HIM Car 201
RT----- .765 ----- .338 ----- HE'S AHEAD
60'----- 2.289 ----- 2.49 ----- MAKING UP LOST RT TIME
330'----- 6.204 ----- 6.500 ----- SIDE BY SIDE
1/8----- 9.404 ----- 9.823 ----- PULLING HARD BY HIM
MPH----- 76.67 ----- 75.53
1000'----- 12.150 ----- 12.603 ----- BUH BYE
1/4----- 14.488 ----- 14.967 ----- BEST ET OF MY DAY
MPH----- 95.79 ----- 94.98 ----- I'm Dissapointed here

80 degrees at 29.49 (f).

The other run against same car 10 minutes prior had me at 14.49 @ 95.87 while he ran 15.22 @ 94.33.

I had a couple bad lauched with 2.9 RT's BAAAAD runs I won't even quote. It was hard to launch and even if it won't affect your times, I couldn't get into sync with the x-mas tree like I did at ATCO. I was early 3 times and late the others. I would also either spin too much - ala the 2.28 which I would have like to have gotten down to 2.15 60' or I would bog the motor completely and then sit and wait for the power to come back on...I think running in D was the cluprit once - PUT IT IN MM AT THE TRACK!

Pretty good day overall even if my ego was left deflated by a Z that runs better than any AMG offering except maybe 1 AND IT'S NA!

ED_C Ran a 98 mph run and a 14.3 or so on another run with a 6MT coupe with essentially my mod setup plus a y pipe and a TS upgrade. To get to 98 on a hot was a feat - I think it takes more than the x-tra gear to get to 98 in that heat - TS is a great mod IMO after watching Ed run. Too bad it's so much and so far away.

Nice runs. What was your setup and was this E-Town? If it was, the calculated DA yesterday ranged from 1200' to 1600' assuming you were running when the temps ranged from 79-84 degrees. The conditions alone were theoretically enough to suck out about .2-.3 seconds and 1-2 mph.

I was at E-town Raceway Park. The temps got to 108 on some cars therometers in the afternoon after I left and still some 300XZ was in the 10's. Man it's hot today too...

Well I had a couple of those when I missed 2nd (now who the fruck misses 2nd!!!) another time I missed 3rd (lil more forgiveable) and one time I had such bad wheel hop (first run ever I believe) I had to get out of it. When I ran okay I was running 14.7's and 14.8's. Like I said they suck, especially with my mods. I dunno, I need to see Jenny Craig or sumtin and get my fat **** on a diet! I probably should of taken more crap outta my car. I has some extra belongings in there, but I don't think the few extra pounds killed me. I dunno, I just put in Crawford High FLows and Stillen Exhaust on Friday but maybe the ECU didn't pick it up yet....maybe I just suck.....who knows! I doubt its the ECU as I don't believe it will make much of a difference! Maybe I should slapped my stock wheel back on and not run with 19's!! lol

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh furg it, I still had a blast!!!

14.7 is not bad. I didn't see too many good 60's which make all the diff. I bet the track was stickier in the PM even if it was hotter. Many Z's as well as other G's were in the 15's so we can't feel too bad.

What time of day were you running? Had to be the very early AM no? I couldn't even deal with the friggin heat! I think I need more practice and getting used to the tree, launching etc! Def alot to try and focus on. I wish I brought my stock wheels with me to see if I would get better times with them!

I was running at 10 and around 11. Apparently is was much hotter in the afternoon by maybe as much as 30 ambient degrees...IT was 79 for my first run. It was hot with the windows up then and you guys must have been sweating like pigs! I wish I had been there in the afternoon to run the bracket event. Who won BTW?

I have no clue who won. I made it to the 3rd round and there were only a few cars left. Kinda pissed about it but I didn't expect to make it that far anyway!
