I just did 3 runs vs my friend's mini cooper S (supercharged) with minor mods (borla exhaust, intake, headers, rims/tires). We went to a strip that was deserted (company's lot he work for but closed for 4th of july). In all 3 runs, the G kept pulling on the cooper in all gears. About 80mph + my G was about 4 cars and still pulling. What shocked me was how much it weigh... close to 3500lbs for such a small car!!

A Cooper S only weighs around 2700 pounds. Probably less depending on who you ask.

 

No, i read it...and u posted ur 4 car pull on a Cooper S like it was an outstanding win..3 times in a row..As if the first time wasn't a shock...with "minor mods"

He doesnt know how to drive his cooper. There is no way your were ahead by 4 cars at 80mph assuming your not heavily modded or major weight reduction.

 

before posting "i blew his doors off" or "i had my a$$ handed to me", you will be well served by creating a sig with your car (including coupe or sedan), year, options, and all mods. you then list the specs and mods on the CooperS. and *then* you give us the results.

this is like saying "my civic is faster than his corolla". well, yeah, but what year, what specs, what mods, etc etc etc.

 

A Cooper S with a Danan Stage 1 kit will keep up with a modded G. And I promise you it will kick your *** on any road course. Respecet the Mini

 

Ran a Cooper S (w/mild mods) on the 605 fwy a while ago. It kept up pretty well. I pulled on him hard towards the top of 4th and he completely gave up towards the top of 5th. I slowed down to wait for him and we gave each othere a friendly thumbs up. Those little cars a pretty quick.

You thought the Mini was faste based on what? the "Italian Job" movie?

 

A Mini with the SC can beat you light to light if you don't know how to drive. Don't get caught sleeping. In a girlie/meat head race ie. from a roll 3rd gear plus you will walk them no problem. They aren't slow but they aren't "fast" neither is the G in the big scheme of things as far as fast cars go.

Exactly!! You guys act like your 14 second G's are fast. It's a good comfortable snappy car.
