Cool

Correct me if I'm wrong....but I thought the Dyno Dynamics machine was load based.

But I know what you are saying....the number is just a number.

But I do know....that my first pull with the out of the box SS map was 330 rwhp, and by tuning it ....it got up to 407.9...before I told them I wanted it really safe....so we settled at 395.2 and 340 ft lbs of tq.

IMO, the C6 is going to win whether it's the 4-speed auto (12.8s) or 6MT (12.7s). The LS6 has serious ***** and power everywhere in the rpm range. Overall, it has more effective powerband. It's also lighter (3200lbs). The upcoming 06 C6 auto is going to be an absolute killer and will outrun the 6MT. GM will be installing their new 6 speed auto. Yikes!!! Talk about some ripping torque multiplication. I forecast 12.5s. The C6 Z06 does mid 11s@125mph stock on street tires. There is a guy here in KC that took his new Z06 to our track. His mods were longtube headers (40whp gain) and proceeded to lay down an 11.3@127mph on street tires. That's legit 10s on street slicks. Gulp. How does 465whp sound to you? Sounds pretty damn good to me. I wouldn't even consider the new GTR. The C6 is just insane and it will take the GTR a lot of work to run with the Z06 on the road course or in the straight line. 7 liters of pure V8 pushrod power that happily revs and makes power to it's 6800rpm limiter.

bro IMO I think you would win... Dont matter bout the cars man its alll on the driver. I was doing 13.4 in my brothers viper (2003 SRT-10). After feathering the tires my best 1/4 mile time was a 12.1. Randy, remember that?? haha good times man, good times....

That's is the reason I'm going to get 06 C6 regular. Would have to waste $15-20K on 05 6MT coupe in order to match/beat it's power but loose most important reliability with maintenance issues along with warranty. Just add i/h/e/tuning in C6 and flat 12s are there. Planning to swap with my cousin G35x to use daily and build NA beast C6 for fun. Damn, that car is FAST bone stock with the power everywhere. Can't wait until April to pick it up

LS6 was in the C5 Z06's. The C6's come with a LS-2 and the C6 Z06 with the LS-7. All are bad *** motors.

i think if your gonna get a C6, you gotta get the Z06, its just a wonderful machine that sounds untouchable from anything under 100,000$

NSX/Viper are best looking but the NSX is the slowest, The C6 is awesome if your gonna get a Z06 otherwise forget it. i'd take a C6 Z06 over all of them but next choice would be Viper.

and crazy enough a 2002 Z06 will still beat a 2006 regular C6 both being 6 speeds.

i think 02 and up Z06 puts out 405hp and 400tq or something along those lines. C5 Z06 puts out similar (a tiny bit higher) hp/torq compare to the C6, but i think its lighter with better suspension set up, so its a lil faster than the C6. of course, C6 Z06..its just in another league of its own..insane stuff there!

however, dealerships are having 20G markups on those. i dont think u gonna get one close at or even close to msrp.. even tho they are "stickered" to be like 75k "only". still tho, even at 90 to 100k, still the best performance car for that money!

have any of you guys sat in a viper before? it is a surreal experience. the cabin heating up. the disgusting v10 burble. the near ejaculatory feeling when it takes off. the new z06 may be faster, but its more civilized. i love the viper and its just brute savage sex appeal. ide take the viper and then the z06 and then the NSX.

brute savage sex appeal doesn't sound very appealing at all unless you're like a jungle pygmy woman
