100 octane, unleaded, safe?
I searched and saw that several people claim to run 100 octane. But I haven't found any threads that discuss if it is any way unsafe.
I'm thinking about buying a 5 gallon drum of it for my next track trip. Thoughts?

100 is perfectly safe. The only thing though is it appears temps have been really cold (sub 40 degrees) when you've gone racing. You must consider the fact that 100 octane actually is harder to burn and when temps are that cold, the intake charge is pretty cold and dense with O2 that it is possible your G won't be able to take advantage of the higher octane. If temps were in the 60s or so, I'd say go for it, but with temps in the 30s and 40s, I'm afraid you might be wasting your money. I ran a mix of 92 and 100 to achieve ~96 octane in my Maxima because I had an ECU upgrade that pushed timing advance to the edge of streetability. The higher octane allowed my car to achieve more consistency in warmer weather. Without the higher octane, the increased timing and higher ambient temps caused my VQ to detonate on some passes and my runs could flucuate up to .3 and 2mph. In 70-80 degree weather, the higher octane allowed me to run nearly as quick as I did in 50 degree weather. However when I ran higher octanes in cold air (40s-50s), there was no change vs running 92.
