Going to the Strip

I am planning n going to my local 1/8 mile drag strip this weekend for a test and tune day. The elevation is some where around 600-700 Ft. The weather is going to be in the mid 60's and humidity around 40%. What should I expect my times to be. I feel I am a good driver. I have draged at this track many times in my old 89 mustang GT and my old 2003TL-S. What do you think my times should be i.e. 60FT.,1/8 mile, and trap speed. My mods are in my sig. Thanks

I will be putting my stock 17" rear wheels with stock rubber and 3000 miles on them on the car for my trip.

Hard to predict what you will run. Ideally, you should be in the 13's with the mods you have, but if you don't have traction... A 60' time of 2.00-2.10 should get you there. I would guess your trap speeds should be around 101-102 in the 1/4 mile. Oopps, I just noticed your track is 1/8 mile so that changes things. Shoot for 8.9-9.2 at about 89-91 mph would be great. Above all, practice and more practice will help you acheive the most from your car.

Good Luck!

First time out in a new car with a manual? I'd say 9.2-9.4 @76-77mph with a 2.2 60'.
