Drifting in a 6MT

i didnt see a thread on this so here it goes... how many of u guys do a lil drifting just for fun on ur stock Gs? how much does it wear the car not including the tires ofcoarse? and any other things ud like to throw in there

I do the occasionally drift just when i am going around a turn and i'm in 1st, ill just pop the clutch and kick the back out. i don't pull a Tokyo Drift and bounce the rev limiter, but it's still fun. Good way to get the girls heart racing. ;-)

Went drifting the 2nd weekend I picked my G up from PF with the TT.

so it doesnt hurt the car much other then tire wear?

Drifting will DESTROY your differential (a.k.a. your VLSD will become an open diff VERY quickly)

I'm hoping to tear up some open parking lots this winter. Any LSD concerns for playtime in the snow?

LSD is a concern ANYTIME traction loss is a concern.

Mike - thanks as always for putting time into raising the education level on this board. Your comments on this topic in addition to a previous topic on skip-shifting (not good for our 6MT's) has made a difference for numerous people including myself.
