Just wondering what the costs would be to beef up the stock '05 g35 coupe transmission would be. A friend of mine is going F/I relatively soon and he's working on building up the car before adding more horsepower to it.

I think 400-500 RWHP is what hes shooting for. I think the stock transmission should be okay for that, but he doesn't want to have to bother fixing it when its broken.

 

With 400-500 rwhp he'll want to get a stronger clutch and flywheel. If you're talkigna bout the gear box itself then I haven't heard of anyone upgrading the internal parts on that yet.
