Has anyone put a synthetic in their tranny?

I was thinking about putting a synthetic transmission fluid in my 6mt coupe and I was wondering if anyone has already done this or know what products are really good? My experiences with synthetic oil so far have been exceptional and I am thinking about adding synthetics to the differential as well and then maybe later on replace my steering fluid with synthetics too.

Be VERY careful re tranny fluid replacement in a NISSAN vehicle. They are extremely sticky about the specs of the tranny fluid and have been known to do a thorough analysis of replacement fluid and I've been told that warranty claims have been denied because of this! This is the main reason that they do not provide a tranny dipstick in the Auto and make it difficult for you to check your own levels, at least that's what the tech told me.

Not sure about the MT tranny though, but I'd check out the spec'd fluids just to be sure.

I think they're more lenient on the MT trannies, as those use regular oil instead of a special fluid.

Yes and thank you very much for the warning. I did notice in the owner manual that they had an awful lot to say about what to use for an automatic. But I did find more info in the service manual on what I needed for the manual. I have found a API GL-4 SAE Viscosity 75W-90 synthetic gear lube that matches what Infiniti specifies. I would think that this would be the one I need right? I called their tech rep. and it was what he had suggested as well.
