Slow Clutch Return?

I noticed something today with my clutch that concerns me a bit. The clutch pedal didn't return quickly as usual.

Now, this is different than the much-reported 'stuck clutch pedal'. I'm talking about just depressing the clutch and quickly releasing it (while in neutral, both still and when rolling down the road). When I lifted my foot fairly quickly off the fully-depressed clutch pedal, it slowly rose back up. I pumped it several times with the same effect. It would take maybe 3/4-to-full second to come back.

Remember, this was not after or during any launch. I was simply driving down the road and after shifting from 5th to 6th (came out of a speed zone), the pedal felt weird so I tried depressing it as mentioned.

Has anyone else experiences a slow-returning clutch pedal like that? It felt like it was moving thru ooze (ie as if it had low hydraulic pressure or something).

I'll try to observe it on my way home tonight to see if it's still occurring.

Thanks for your input!

Dino

*** UPDATE ***
The clutch pedal did not do this again last night / this morning. Must be one of those intermittent issues.

Actually have had this happen before and it was very serious today, actually almost pulled off the road because it was interferring with shifting so badly and the traffic was bad. *shrug* taking it to the dealer this coming weekend...

Keep us posted. I'm curious to hear if they find anything.

I haven't had it happen since the day I posted the question.

I had that happen to me but only when the weather is cold. Seems like the pedal is actually beginning to bind at the pivot bushing. After I let the interior warm up for a while, it seemed to go away but it took about 30 minutes of driving. I am bringing it to the dealer this week if the snow melts.
