Hey all,

I'm getting a newly rebuilt transmission from my local Infinit dealer, due to excessive chronic grinding shifting into 3rd gear. See my post at:

Before I take the care in for the work, I had some questions I was hoping you guys could help me answer:

1. Should I ask the dealer which model of tranny they're installing? Meaning, is there a newer, more stable transmission model that I should specifically request?

2. Should I go out and buy an aftermarket flywheel or clutch and have them "drop them in"? Just trying to understand if the flywheel and clutch upgrades are worthwhile, and if so, maybe the dealership will drop them in free of charge since they'll already have the tranny apart?
