Question Car shudders on 2-1 downshift (5AT)

This is on an '03 Coupe.

It only does this in manual mode, but does it regardless of whether I manually downshift it or if I let the ECM downshift it automatically in manual mode. It's been intermittent, but it's getting really aggravating. The car shudders mildly about 3-5 times, but only on the 2-1 downshift.

The tranny fluid was flushed less than 8k miles ago and the old fluid was reported to look good.

Has anybody else experienced this type of problem?

From time to time I have felt this shudder as well. I stopped downshifting into 1st. Now I leave it in second and put into first only at a dead stop.
