Crunchy Trans question, engine mod advice, cams

Hi guys I'm new, got my bone stock silver 2003 G35 sedan a few weeks ago, AT. Glad I found this forum, I found some terrible ones out there for the G35, got me depressed but this one seems much more my style. Great info already, but searching for 3 letter words no worky, (cam, ls2, etc.)

Quick question, I searched a bit on the topic already but didn't find much for the specific issue-- my low end (like 1-3 light throttle) I feel a slight vibration in the gas pedal, just feels slightly crunchy. Could this be low trans fluid? It's not slipping, just doesn't feel right, not very responsive unless I womp it a bit. I'm going to reset the ECU tonight anyway, hopefully that does something but has anyone else dealt with this?

Longer question, I had my heart set on the 06 GTO for a while, but for various reasons (insurance, cost, practicality, a recent car accident where I hit a speeder but in MA it'll be my fault anyway even though I was going <5mph pulling out of a gas station and very lightly tapped an SUV flying by who proceeded to violently flip onto 2 wheels and swerve out of control before demolishing a parked car on the side of the road) I decided to go for this beauty instead.

I've been trying to search for cam swap/tuning information but can't find it. I need more power and have some money to invest, but since I've been on the ls2 forums for a while (where a good cam/head/tune can net 100hp for less than $1500) I need to know how to get the most gains for the least cash while staying n/a <-- common newb question I know, but more specifically can someone please point me too some threads of people that have done cams, tuning, what gains they've seen, etc?

I used to drive a Cadillac STS so handling wise I'm very happy at the moment and will wait to add sway bars, tighten things up a bit, lower it slightly. Right now I want more power, more responsiveness at low/mid rpms. Plenum spacer sure, new air intake sure, replace the exhaust at some point, but where is the "higher hanging fruit" for this engine without going FI?

I was reading a thread where someone mentioned an ls2 swap, has anyone actually done this? Fantasy right now, I only have 38K miles and not enough time or $ for such a major project, but very interested to read about it. I read the G45 thread, but for me puting the ls2 in this car would be my dream. I have nothing but respect for the 6.0 after researching it for months.
