AT tranny cooler?

I wanted to know what you guys think about installing an additional tranny cooler on an my 5AT? I got the cooler for free from a friend. It says on the box it will allow the tranny to run upto 60 deg cooler. Is worth the hassle or not really? I currently have 84K on the car.
IMO i feel anything to cool your engine or any components is a PLUS

The car just wants to go go go and he also added the technosquare ecu calibration/reflash, as well - to keep the valve body from closing when you get higher up in the rpm band

The main reason why I'm considering the mod is becasue when I drive the car for a while and then try to give it a kick the tranny does not seem to want to shift and feels very sluggish, and does not shift until high RPM range. Also the other day at the track, in auto it was shifting at about +-6k RPM in almost every gear. When in stick mode and driving hard it does not shift until a few seconds after I upshift. I did order the grounding kit and will see if that helps also.

i honestly think you would be happier with the stillen auto tranny upgrade, as it make a huge dif
when i get into my car and put it into drive, she goes nicely, but when i get into g forces car and put it into drive, she wants to jump forward and go Go GO
so touchy, once you tap the gas, its def instantly noticalbe and like i was saying above, you will def feel the dif from stock the stock tranny to the stillen upgrade auto tranny
note, he also did the technosquare ecu reflash/calibration after he did the stage 4 sc, injen cai and stillen auto tranny upgrade
which is a good idea because it gets rid of your rpm limiter and bumpers it up over 7000k and when your at WOT your valve body wont close as you get higher in the rpm band which it does now, which resticts the fluids from going thru more

side note: we called stillen and they sent up a special package to pack the tranny in and then we sent it off and 1 day later it came back, wasnt hard to remove also

I voted no but that was before I noticed you track your car. If it was free why not install it and see if its something useful. Write a review after install so we can hear your comments and experience.
I'm also thinking of getting a tranny temp gauge before I install it to see what it runs at and then install the coller and see it it really lowers the temp.

yes we did, but it might be the way he drives, who knows, so you say its worth it ?? to me it looks out of place under the hood with all those wires spyder webbing all over
i am 95% of the time in tiptronic mode so anything that will help me in it would be good, i do see the lag here and there, but not always matters how your driving it
grounding wires reduce the "electronic lag" to 0. i was very impressed with the impact gord's 10 wire grounding kit had on AT shifting. there is still a mechanical delay, which only a valve body will address...
After reading a bit, the TCM will actually increase line pressure when the fluid is cooler. This helps the transmission "warm up". By adding a cooler, this should in theory make shift times faster and more pronounced due to the increased line pressure. I've never seen this pointed out as a benefit and hopefully it's accurate. Why can't someone create a program to modify the line pressure through the TCM? I know ttrank and I would gladly buy the software. The delay between shifts is horrible and I still don't think the trans shifts as hard as it could. This is coming from someone with a fully built SFR auto.
