hi there this morning when i turn on the car i let it run for like 5 minutes i always do that with all my cars its habit thing , well when i was driving to school some thing didnt feel right about the car like when i went into first gear it goes into gear just fine ,so when i tried to push it like floor it , the rpm went like 5k and it was like 30 mph on first gear than switch to second gear it grabs fine and picks up the speed but like some thing bout my first gear its not right, like iam losing power , this problem never happen to me before.example when i drive i can like see the rpm goes really high but im going slow is this normal becuase our 6mt are close gear ratio or its not , i tried to reaserch like on each gear to mph ,but i couldnt find any thing i just found the gear ratio , i hope this is not a stupid question , thnx for your help

 

u have me kinda confused. is this car new for u? what year is it? how many miles? i believe 1st gear maxes out around 35 mph. what speed did u think these cars could do in 1st? they're not corvettes or ferrari's lol.

what do u mean your losing power? do the rpm's jump up real quick and then come back down? that could indicate a slipping clutch.

 

Sounds like you have like a slipping like clutch. Sorry, I couldn't help myself. You should get it checked out.
