Clutch question ?

Hi all, as you can see i have just registered on these boards as I am a prospective G35 owner.Recently, i met someone that is selling their black 2004 G35 fully loaded with some nice upgraded audio system borla headers, exhaust, wheels, brembos. The car only has 23,000 miles. I really love the car except for one thing. the clutch is very hard to depress. I'm not sure why it is like that and the current owner is not sure why as he purchased it from a performance shop here in Atlanta. Any ideas on why the clutch is like this and if there is something that can be done about it ?

thanks guys, i look forward to being an active member of this community when I do make that purchase.

Compare to other cars i have driven, the clutch on the G is a little more harder to press, but if you think it extremely difficult to press, maybe the previous owner had the clutch and pressure plate replaced with a more high performance/higher grip force

Well i drove a 2007 G35 as well and the clutch is much easier to depress. I have never felt such a hard clutch in my life to be honest. Really all i wanted to know is if there could possibly be a problem with the clutch. Is it safe to assume that there is no problem but simply the clutch has been replaced ?

I've heard the newer Gs are easier than the 03s and 04s. My 03 was pretty stiff stock, but only slightly more so with the ACT heavy duty PP.
