G37 Transmission Swap

Anyone know if the G37's 6MT transmission is a direct swap for the G35's 6MT transmission. The reason I ask is that if my transmission goes bad and needs to be replaced, then maybe I can get the G37's put in instead.

No, they are not a direct swap, or no dealer will ever do that?

was just checking specs, but from what I saw, they have the same gear ratios implying the same transmission?

there have been nine versions of the 6MT, all compatible, each representing minor design improvements - the latest version seems to be holding up well. Just get it swapped in before your warranty expires...

not sure about the G37, but just get a v9 for your 6MT and you should be good.

reviving an old thread in lieu of creating another one... since this one is nearly 2 years old, anyone have any new info on whether the g37 6mt transmission works with an older 6mt g35?
