traction system

I have heard that this works, anyone have any luck with it ???

Oh, and here's a tip for you. In the G35s, VDC/TCS is automatically enabled upon startup of the vehicle. Pressing the VDC button only turns off VDC, but TCS is still active. Press and hold your VDC button. The light on the dash will come on. Keep holding, and it will turn off. To make sure it has worked, release the button, then press it again. The dash light should not illuminate. You have just turned off both VDC AND TCS, now allowing you to have all the fun a 280 horsepower RWD sport coupe was meant to offer.

The car will reset the option every time it is started, so you'll have to hold it for 20 seconds on every startup to keep TCS and VDC off.

Re: traction system

I've only pushed it once every time I want to have fun and haven't had any problems.

Re: traction system

Pushing the button one time does turn off VDC and TCS. What it does not turn off is the "Brake LSD" portion of the system.

The steps you suggest do indeed cause the light to act that way, but do not actually turn the VDC system off.

Re: traction system

Sorry I took so long to reply...
It was raining here so I couldn't really test it.

For what it's worth, holding the VDC button longer does make the VDC light turn off.

Re: traction system

I tried it, and yes the light went out, but when I tried to stand on the gas the slip light came on and the throttle died and then came back, I'm guessing it did this to keep me from doing a burn out, which is what I wanted to do.
What can be done, so that when I want to light the tires and haul a$$, the ECU doesn't play fun police???

Re: traction system

You can just hit the button once and run with VDC Off, which should let you do burnouts.

Or you can pull a fuse. Warning, though.. pulling the fuse takes ABS brakes out, as well. Don't do that and go cruising the streets.
