shows our tranny in development. Could be interesting to see what they come up with. They have paddle shifters available for the older Nissan autos!

Check it out. Sorry this might be a repost but I couldn't find it.

If I understand this product right, you can much more than the VB mod. I don't know if this can firm up the shifts as much as a mechanical VB mod though.

But you're right. If you already spent the $ on a VB, it's hard to justify spending it again on this.

Its out and available, almost 2 years now. Its incompatible with any transmission that has an external TCM, like our vehicles.

Aren't the TCU/TCU internal after 05 or so? Or are you referring to something else?

I'm referring to the TCM and ECU being separate units. It will not work with our vehicles.

Point proven here.

We have already adapted our controller to the RE5R05A. Unfortunately most of the RE5R05As uses a computer inside the transmission and we are currently unable to do aything with these versions.

Russ
I'm still not following. Russ's reply seems to say that their controller wont' work for TCUs that are inside the tranny. Early Gs have their TCUs outside. Right next to the ecu (P-side kick panel)

That only applies to the very early sedans. 350Z and coupe have always been as part of the transmission. If somebody with a first build sedan wants to try, they can, but it won't help anybody else.

As I said, this was a known issue over 2 years ago, and they haven't made any progress since.
