HELP - Squeeking clutch

My clutch is squeeking when i release the pedal from the floor. You can feel it in the pedal and hear it inside but its 5 times louder outside the car. Sounds like its coming from the firewall area, maybe where the cable goes through the firewall. Now the weird part, it only does it on cooler mornings and the humidity has to be high. I took it in for service a couple days ago. I just got a call from Lokey Infiniti, they say my clutch is on its way out, they said its not the throwout bearing they originally thought..... but its squeeking. No slipping, no grinding.... Any ideas? It sounds like the cable is rubbing on a rubber grommet on the firewall or something..... but only acting up on cool humid mornings? If the clutch is going out, it would act up all the time.
HELP!!

I have the exact same problem. I lubed the pedal itself, and it still squeaked from underneath the car. Someone on here, in another thread i'm too lazy to search for, said that if you clean the clutch pedal linkage around the slave cylinder (attached to the tranny), it makes the noise go away. It's been too cold for me to go out in the garage to get under the car and do that...But mine comes and goes... Took it to the dealership and they too said that my clutch was "worn" and needed to be replaced--for $2000! I said no thanks, and walked away, since functionally it's fine. I'm waiting until it slips before I replace it, but the squeak's not too bad. being in the garage does amplify it though....
