A quick way to determine 6MT transmission revision
Just in case anyone is wondering which manual transmission version they have, here's a quick way.
Take a digital camera, and reach under the passenger front tire, lying in front of the car (please do this on a level surface, I'm not responsible if you run yourself over).
If you can maneuver the camera behind the suspension, you can snap some pretty clear shots of the sticker on the side of the transmission. It may take a few tries, but this shouldn't take more than a minute.

Sorry, I'm pretty new to the 6MT G35's, so I figured that most people already knew the differences:
Copy paste from my350z.com. There appears to be 10 versions of our 6mt transmissions:

You need a light source. My camera's flash is sufficient. I was also able to see the numbers with a flashlight, but no one believes you on the web without a pic.

Just bought a tranny from an '05 350z build date is 09/04, it has the CD02 I believe. Just for the record, don't go by the model year. I figured I was fine 100% since it was an '05 but that is not the case. $650 shipped... Eh, I'll run it. Seems good, no grinds in any gear turning by hand. But it is definitely not a CD009, the shift bracket also reflects that it is not a CD009.
JN1AZ34E85M651915 Is the vin for those of you interested.
Edit Confirmed it is a CD009.
