diffrential skip??dont know help..

well i was wondering what could be wrong..yesterday i was driving on the freeway.. i had the vcd off.(i have a 05 ip 5AT coupe)the first time i noticed i was on 4th around 4.5k and i steped on the gas..it lagged and then it took off..it felt like the slip diffrential skipped..i dont know..then the second time i noticed it was when i was in 2nd around the same 4.5k and i steped on it and it lagged then it kicked in...i need help what could be wrong??it only has happend when the vcd is off..when vcd is on its ok..so thanks for you help...

are you in automatic or manumatic mode? could it just be your car is downshifting so you can accelerate? lol sry maybe noob answer, but you didn't specify

differential slip

well i was on manual mode.. 2nd and 4th gears both times ...but it felt like the diferential slipped...but dont know..that **** scared me tho..lol..if it would be the tranny what would it be??that would cause it..

well to tell you the truth i wasnt looking at the rpms..i was on 4th at 4.5k and i just stepped on the gas to change lane and thats when it happend..it did feel like something slipped..but not sure

I would be the tires just cut loose for a sec. With VDC on, the car will take care of it; VDC off - scary if you're not ready for it.

i dont think the tires broke loose in 4th gear he would have to have some serious power.
