5 different valve bodies?
ACtually, I think they should have put the new tranny in, verified that the car works properly, THEN modified the new tranny's valve body. IMHO, by doing all this stuff all at once, they've introduced way to many variables to diagnose your original problem
What is the car doing? How can a crank angle sensor mess up shifting? I was having a crank angle position sensor problem last summer, but it had nothing to do with the tranny. Maybe explain what your car is doing?

At 4500 rpm it acted like I hit a rev limiter or fuel cut. If I was on it hard and it hit it would put on the slip and vdc lights. Then the car would act weird after that until turned off. A reset would clear the code but it would always come back to the crank sensor. When slipping, say 2nd gear in the rain it would go to red line easy. If I'd clear the code I'd lose the tach and it'd go into limp mode running real rich and wouldnt shift into 5th.
Sounds like what mine did last summer, except it wouldn't go past 2500rpm. Read this thread:

Well, they charged me $95 and on the way home the check engine light came back on. I never got the car over 3000RPM on my 250 mile journey home (light came on about 50 miles out... go figure)
So I do not know if the car actually works or not. Mark replaced the crank angle sensor a year ago and the car has still had problems.
For further clarification:
The car because having it's episode of only being able to go to 4500RPM about 1.5 years ago. Mark said it was the stock tranny slipping. OK... that happens. I bought a BRAND NEW STOCK tranny. Took it straight to SGP and had their VB put on. Car ran the same. They can't figure out the issue.
So did I need a new tranny? Probably not... since it didn't fix the issue. Thanks SGP...
