Urban, Personally, thank god we go GTM haha ....but more updates if possible too! I wanna know about the tranny troubles and what exactly is "bucking" so I can look for it while driving, or maybe it already happen i just dont know? Got my car back from GTM couple days ago, put 150 miles on it so far, and loving it!

Turbo Tom, why not go GTM? They can build you one? I have heard many horror stories about sgp, considering I heard a few good things also, but for the major installs, it was a nightmare.

Well yes I am happy with mine but I have heard a few issues now with the SGP ones which I thought were good also.

G35Rider- Good luck on yours, I have over 9,000 on mine since September and have taken it up all the way to redline many times. Planning on getting more trq out of it very soon

I think you guys are reading my thread completely wrong. I'm not saying the trans is broken and I'm not blaming anyone. This could potentially be a crank position sensor issue. We don't know what the issue is, but this has nothing to do with it "not handling" power.

I appreciate everyone's concerns, but sometimes I wonder if people even read I'm running w/g spring right now, and the bucking I'm refering to is like hitting the rev limiter at 2k. It only happens between 1k and 3k; once i get above 3k, the car is fine and shifts fine as well.

We're going to replace the crank angle sensor hopefully today, so I'll keep everyone updated.

I found this while googling for info

Recall Date: 11/17/2003

Summary:
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE CIRCUIT BOARD FOR THE CRANK POSITION SENSOR OR CAM POSITION SENSOR MAY HAVE AN IMPROPER SOLDER JOINT DUE TO SOLDER DEFORMATION CAUSED BY HEAT STRESS ACCELERATED BY THE EXISTENCE OF FLUX RESIDUE DURING THE SOLDERING PROCESS.

Consequence:
THIS COULD CAUSE THE "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" WARNING LIGHT TO COME ON, CREATE A NO START CONDITION, CAUSE REDUCED ENGINE POWER, OR CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STOP RUNNING WITHOUT WARNING DURING VEHICLE OPERATION, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.

Remedy:
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE CRANK POSITION SENSORS. CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR(S), AND IN SOME CASES, THE VARIABLE TIMING CONTROL SENSOR(S). VEHICLES INVOLVED IN A PREVIOUS RECALL CAMPAIGN, 01V357, ARE ALSO INCLUDED IN THIS NEW CAMPAIGN. THE REPLACEMENT SENSORS USED IN THAT CAMPAIGN ARE ALSO AFFECTED. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN ON DECEMBER 22, 2003. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT NISSAN AT 1-800-647-7261 OR INFINITI AT 1-800-662-6200.

When giving it about 10% throttle, the trans would buck back and forth and not go anywhere. <10% throttle and it would drive fine. Reverse works perfectly fine. This happened both in AT mode and MM mode. I tried this a couple times and the car went into limp mode with a code for the crank angle sensor.
I'm assuming this is due to the trans as this is the same code I've gotten in the past with my blown trans.
The crank angle sensor was also replaced just incase not too long ago. The car also ran fine with the trans I was using while this one was being built, so everything is pointing to the trans.

I did read your post and it was not me who pointed to the trans, you yourself mentioned it a few times so I was just showing my concern as we 5AT people need to stick together

Point taken But, they're all assumptions. Once we replace the ckp sensor today, we'll have a better idea of where the issue may be. But, you're right, thank you for the concern

we replaced the ckp sensor today and now the car barely starts...i'm beginning to thing this has absolutely nothing to do with the trans and an issue that has come and gone in my car for the past year.

This is happening to me as well. SFR Built Auto here. I drive it normally and as soon as it gets to 2500 rpms, its like hitting a rev limiter. This didn't happen at first and gradually appeared. Now it does it all day long. If I give it more gas, it shots past the "rev limit" and drives fine. WTF could it be. Driving like this is a bitch cause you really have to keep it in manual mode to keep the revs over 2500. Teh sucks.

Everytime at 2300-2500 while under regular throttle. It doesn't do it at 4500 or any other rpm. If i'm brake boosting from a stop, it also hits the 2500 "limiter".

Andy sounds like you may need to reset the adaptive learning mode in the transmission. Try to see if you can get Scott or someone you trust to reprogram the transmission control module.
