The car will not change gear when going up hill and on a straight road it slams into the 3rd gear.


I had a tranny flush and rear differential done 5000KM. car drives fine in semi auto mode


Any suggestions?

 

What year? how many miles? Auto I take it? Could be electrical or something mechanical. They are electronically controlled transmissions, with mechanical stuff. I would take it in to a dealer, its only up hill? any other gears do it? Turn your car on pull the trans dip stick wipe it pull it back out and see if its, red, brown, black, or discolord with metal shavings. If there was a possible isse that you didnt know about that wasnt adressed or if there was an issue that you didnt know about that could of made it worse by doing the flush. Let me know what you figure out.

its 2003 auto 100,000Miles.

It was fine before the flush, I thought there was no dipstick on these cars?

 

I have not serviced very many Gs, I know on Auto Zs they have em, I would imagine it would unless you were specifically informed about it. Did u get the flush done at Infiniti? Just curious

 

i got it serviced at nissan, they used jmatic fluidas per bill. Not many infiniti dealers around me so this nissan services both.

 

Id take it back homie and tell them whats going on that does not sound right at all. There are a lot of possible issues but its pointless for someone to sit here and give you suggestions they need to fix something.

the car is *supposed* to hold lower gears going up hill... but it's not super super agressive...

 

true, but if i want to go faster up a hill and i give it gas it revs up to 4.5k range and the car does not go any faster
