the cost of living in socal is outrageous though, i don't know how y'all afford to live/drive/go out.... I find it rough over here when you make less than 60k a year, but over there if you make 100k u got nothing to show for it. My buddy lives outside of LA and his house is like the size of a decent apartment over here, and it cost his over 500k like 4 years ago

too crowded is a bigger complaint (for me)... I'd like to get out of So Cal

wow, that sucks... My house is probably worth about 250k, corner lot, 3100 sq feet, with a pool and detached 2 car garage.... Y'all should bring some of those fast cars and women down here and live...

driving on tiptronic today for the first time all day, OMFG it kicks x2 harder then driving on automatic, everytime it shifts from 1st-2-3rd gear it's a freaking hard kick, no wonder why Sam at gtm told me it's not for everybody, that thing shifts super hard and fast it's unbelievable, I loooooooove it hahaha. Thought I like to throw that in here

you mean for the first time with the VB right... I cant imagine its the first time it manumatic at all?

It might be more benefitial for FI... I only know a few NA with VB - but most FI says its great!

I should have this done by the end of summer and I'm NA. Just waiting to see how my OC testing plays itself out first. Wouldn't hurt to swap the tranny fluid, I like to do it every 20-25k miles, and the VB swap requires a full drain as it is. I'm also looking at the WB OEM Paddle Shifter kit too. Should complement the VB nicely.

I'm also interested in how this affects my 1/4 time too. I finish in 4th (shorter FD) so see how those 3 faster shifts improve overall time. I definitely think I'll seen a small improvement in trap speed, the car doesn't accelerate while you shift, so a shorter shift time means duration for timing being pulled. So that might equate to an extra mph or 2.

I look forward to your results! Are you 3.7 or 3.9?... I'm 3.7 with rev limiter bumper to 7200 - I can finish in 3rd but I have to be very conscious of shift points - I've hit rev limiter just before line a few times - and shifting to 4th a few yards before finish line kills it.

so you're right, crisper shifts could allow for more precise shift points and easier to cross in 3rd

BTW - did you notice fater shifts after shorter FD? I did... I've mentioned it before and really cant explain why - but its there.

3.917 and a 7100 rpm redline. I can't even finish close to 3rd.

I've actually had my gears installed for about 2 years now. I honestly don't remember much of how my car drove back when I had the stock 3.357 gears. But other 5AT owners have commented how much faster my car shifts than theirs already.

It shifts so hard my friend's water flew out of his cup while holding during normal driving/shifting! I love my set up too, i was rolling at 10-15mph and I gunned it even with vdc on i lost traction and the car starting spinning out, even shifting into 3rd it was still saying slip slip slip ahhhh imagine if it was off i be doing burns out till 4th gear or something HAHA so fun

IT feels like when i go to manumatic and after being there for awhile i shift it bak into regular mode and it shifts harder then it use to.So does it hurt your regular shifting of an automatic if i change it into manumatic sometimes
