After RE short throw install
After RE short throw install
I installed my rogue short throw shifter and its awesome. feels good but now there is a little bit of "play" for lack of a better term, between the bottom of the shift **** and the shifter boot.
Is this normal? I can push the top of the shift boot (where it meets the bottom of the shift ****) down about 1/4, maybe 1/2 inch. I bothers me.

just came across your post... same thing happened to me - in my case, when I took off the shift ****, the brass ring/washer that normally sits on top of the oem shifter stayed inside the **** itself - so when I screwed the **** back on, the washer did not line up correctly over the threads of the shifter, preventing the **** to be screwed on properly the entire way.
Check to see that the washer is not stuck in the ****, take it out, and put it on the shifter. Then reinstall the ****.
