Fly wheel out of balance - that's normal?!

Well, after 2 attempts taking my car to the Infiniti shop nearby, I have begun my headache.
Here's my issue - perhaps I'll upload a video, if possible.
When I stop my 2005 Coupe 6MT in gear, clutch in of course, it sounds perfect. When I take my foot off the clutch and leave it in neutral, there is a gargly-diesel sound to it. Worse yet, when I stop the car in neutral, and the clutch is out - the car sputters to a diesel-sounding stop.
The "master-technician" says that it's normal, and hit & miss on some OEM transmissions. He spoke with TechLine and Infiniti and they supported his prognosis. He says the fly wheel is stopping out of balance, there is no fix for it, and nothing is wrong with it.
The assistant service manager and I compared it to another 2004 6MT and the 2004 sounded perfect.
Anyone buy this, or validate it?
To me, it sounds like crap, but I have to go up to Infiniti Consumer Affairs to report it, in order to press further. There must be something that can be done, since they won't put a new trans in it - or fix the one that's there. The explanation I was given, was that I should just put in an after-market trans and that should fix it.
What a PITA! I have a headache.

Sure, I'll give this a shot. What I have seen/heard is that sometimes if you load the car (slow the car via the transmission instead of the brakes creating drag on the driveline) then push in the clutch quickly there will be a loud rattling noise, which I've seen all the g's i've driven do it, we've had numerous complaints on this and I've personally called tech line and they've told me its normal.

The situation I have here is when the car is not moving.
When the key is turned off - in gear and then in neutral.
Turned off in gear, with clutch in - sounds fine.
Turned off in NEUTRAL, with clutch out - sounds like a diesel engine sputtering to a stop.
At this point, clearly there is no load that could have been transferred to the brakes. Any ideas now?

Both normal: Pop the hood and have someone else work the ignition while you listen.
"diesel sputtering to a stop" is your timing chain, totally normal.
"gargly-diesel sound to it" throw-out bearing noise. The flywheel is dual-mass and the clutch is performance-oriented. This is normal for that combination.
Listen to it from outside the car while somebody else is at the controls and you'll see what I am talking about![Smilie](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
FYI my 2005, 2006 G35 6MT coupes did both of these noises and my 2008 G37 does too. It is normal for nissan manual tranny cars.

This is some crazy crap. The sad thing is that we DID compare it to other 6MT G's and it was hit and miss. Most didn't do it, and some did. Since some didn't do it, I wanted mine to stop. Since it's considered NORMAL, even by us G-lovin' forum thread respondin' people... I guess I'm gonna have to deal with it.
I appreciate the support and answers.
